The program offers intensive personal Psychological Rehabilitation as well as the treatment of co-morbidity, namely the existence of dependence accompanied by a mental disorder.
The therapeutic intervention includes two phases:
Physical Detoxificationseeks to address the withdrawal symptoms that may occur when reducing or stopping drinking such as:tachycardia, tachypnea, trembling, nausea, vomiting,irritability, sleep disorders, epileptic seizures and delirium tremens. This is accomplished with pharmaceutical intervention. Psychological Rehabilitation aims tostrengthen the patient’s motivationand efforts to stay clean from alcohol and prevent relapse. This is accomplished with psychotherapy intervention, personal counseling, and mobilization of the family system. The program includes:
